Hello welcome, welcome! It’s Small Business Sunday (is that a thing? Should we make it a thing?) and I’m sharing some love for the newly sprouted Malachite Candles! Malachite are the new kids on the block in the vegan candle world and they’ve launched with a bang! I am very much a habitual candle sniffer so when these bad bois came out I was super excited!
I recently had the pleasure of modelling this super cute 100% cotton tee for Mischief Made! I love having the opportunity to model more casual outfits because casual is my style the vast majority of the time.
Oh my gosh! What do we have here? A bloomin Autumnal treat, that’s what we have! Rocket Originals have knocked it out of the park, producing a knitwear dream twinset inspired by another vintage pattern and to be honest it looks exactly like the original advert below! I’m featuring the rust version because I feel like a pumpkin spice Autumnal dream wearing these colours!
Today I’m reviewing the Geva dress by one of my favourite brands, Violets In May. They are self described as making figure-loving vintage inspired threads for pin up dolls, rockabilly bad girls and mid-century mamas! I own a lot of Violets in May pieces so you’ll see this name cropping up on FMPH more and more, as a brand I am pleased to endorse.
Here I am. Wallowing. It’s a joyful wallow because a couple of weekends ago was the Rockabilly Rave 2018 and oh my dear lord christ baby Jesus, Zeus and Osiris I had such an amazing time! You may recall me blogging about the 2017 event (read it HERE) and this year was somehow even better! Say whaaaaaaat!
You love t-shirts (probably), I love t-shirts (definitely) so here’s a post about a t-shirt! You may recall I’ve posted about a tee from Miss Fortune before, the Leopard Baseball Tee… if you don’t remember then refresh your memory by clicking….HERE! This time around Miss Fortune have a different design and pattern for you. I know, I treat you to all the good stuff!
What ho! It’s 2018 and that means a whole new year of events are afoot! A highlight of 2017 for me was Atomic Vintage Festival and with 2018’s yearly dose of Atomic coming up in July, I thought you needed to know the haps and why you need to be there!
So, held on an airfield about 20 minutes north of Northampton the Atomic Vintage Festival pops up every Summer to provide a fun-filled weekend of dancing, planes, drag racing (not the RuPaul sort, well.. maybe), funfair rides, bands, shopping and more! I attended in 2016 and took part in the fashion show as well as working promo as an Atomic Bombshell, but 2017 well and truly took the biscuit.
I’m quite keen on rockabilly/vintage events, which you may have picked up from some of the style and events posts so far under the Fork My Life section of this site, so I was excited to see a new monthly event pop onto the scene in the form of The 2 Rs thanks to the Freddies of Pinewood team.
Here’s a bit of Fork My Life, all up in your face. In June (yes I know, I’m late) I had the pleasure of walking in the fashion show at the Rockabilly Rave, splendidly organised by Bettina Scarlett Presents. As well as taking part in the fashion show, I got to experience my first Rockabilly Rave weekender and I had a BALL!
