Montezuma are the first chocolate company to offer 100% sustainable packaging on their ENTIRE range of products! It’s an amazing achievement and took a lot of hard work and a complete packaging redesign from the team! To celebrate and show off the results, Montezuma are hosting a pop up shop in Seven Dials for two days to both celebrate and make you consider wasteful packaging. Continue reading

Indigo’s Hive – Cambridge Heath, London
Hello from me to thee on a rainy Sunday in London Town – this morning I am writing about a cute little cafe/restaurant called Indigo’s Hive just up from Bethnal Green towards Cambridge Heath. If you’ve seen anything of this place before it’ll probably be their lattes! If you like a solid but creative brunch, then read on!
Second Shot coffee – Bethnal Green, London
Hello there, I wanted to share a recent discovery with you… I was off to get my nails done at my usual place (Hollywood Star Nails in Bethnal Green) but today I didn’t book so had to wait for someone to be free to fix my hands up real nice. I took the opportunity to pop by to Second Shot to bide my time. I’ve bought a take out coffee from Second Shot a few times before now but hadn’t ever sat in, and I’m glad I did this time.
Cavallo – Vienna, Austria
Guten morgen from Österreich! I’ve made it a focus to visit some new cities and with my main travel focus being eating, it’d be rude if I didn’t share some edible gems with y’all as I go.
So on the menu today we have Cavallo! A very cute and well decorated bar Cafe restaurant type place…yes, you know I’m a sucker for aesthetic restaurants. This one in particular is ‘on it’ displaying many exposed bulbs with metal wire lampshades, a super nice colour scheme, soft looking furniture and it’s all just very aesthetically pleasing. It doesn’t stop with the furnishings and decoration either. Upon arrival we’re seated on a comfy corner bench seat and handed a menu each… The menus are magazines! Such a good idea. You pretty much get to see a photo of each dish and drink on offer and not like you would on a laminated double side menu in a cheap cafe, this has been properly done. Love it.
Holybelly – Canal Saint Martin, Paris
Bonjour from Paris! Today I am bringing you some brunch lushness, right in yo’ face!
When I booked this little trip away I specifically didn’t want to be lumped in a touristy area, so chose to look up the ‘hipster’ parts of Paris. Yes, I am a twerp. I love this stuff. The area I picked I mainly chose because it was less than five minutes away from the best boulangerie in the city but on our walk to said boulangerie, we stumbled upon Holybelly. And holy cow…it tickled my belly. A hipster brunch paradise on a cute little Parisienne street. Who’d have thunk it?
Honey & Rum – Burning Barn Rum
Happy Summer 2019 to you all! Need some drink tips? I thought so! Here’s one for you to try; today I’m here to tell you about the new Honey & Rum…er….rum, by Burning Barn Rum. I like honey and I like rum so this surely has to be a winner, it’s self described as ‘liquid gold in a bottle’ so my job is to see if this is true or false.
International Cheese Awards 2019 – Nantwich, UK
Six weeks ago, if you’d asked me to describe my “happy place,” I would have talked about my wedding day. Now that I’ve experienced the International Cheese & Dairy Awards media launch, it’s a little too close to call.
If you don’t like cheese, this is where you stop reading (there are plenty of other Fork My Piehole posts that will work for you instead so check those out).
Picture yourself in a white room draped with cloths, grapes, figs, you’re handed some Prosecco, and most importantly there’s more cheese than you could ever eat. Are you in heaven? No, you’re at the International Cheese & Dairy Awards media launch. And yes, this is an event that already happened, but in just two short weeks the real deal is coming to a field near you if you live in Nantwich: the International Cheese & Dairy Awards 2019, and guess who’s been invited to be a part of the judging panel.
Temple of Seitan – Hackney, London
Eyyooo, if you’re a veggie, vegan or meat eater in London you’ll surely have heard of the Temple of Seitan, or the Temple of Hackney. This isn’t a typical place of worship although it kind of has been flipped that way for the meat-free among us. One Saturday lunchtime we thought we’d give it a whirl!
Greggs Vegan Sausage Roll
Awwite gang. Now that the ‘controversial’ and highly debated vegan sausage roll is available nationwide at Greggs stores I had the opportunity to review one (as a non-vegan) and let you know what I think. Because the world needs my opinion, I’m sure.
Coffee Manufacture – Lviv, Ukraine
HELLOOOO UKRAINE! Where am I? LVIV! Why? Because! Me and two of my beautiful buds Lianne and Laura love to have a weekend together each year anywhere within a few hours flight from London.. this year it was Lviv!
We hadn’t heard of this city before but thought why not, hey? Upon digging into researching this blank slate of a city, we found that Lviv has a good few novelty venues (most of which are coffee or chocolate based) and this is one of them. I’ve accidentally become quite a big coffee fan and this seemed to be the place to go for good coffee and a bit of an experience in Lviv, so off we went.
