Aloha 65 – Sun on a Beach Hot Sauce and Detonator Pineapple Chunks

Hello and welcome! This evening on the menu we have a couple of items from Aloha 65 – the same brand who brought out a spirit drink which we reviewed here. Since our last review, the company have brought out a range of snacky food items including a hot sauce and some spicy pineapple chunks and we’re fortunate enough to give them a whirl!

I love chilli sauces, but one thing that I’m not a fan of is sauces that forgo flavour for pure heat. The Sun on a Beach hot sauce is not the hottest out there but it is very flavoursome and rather moreish. The sweetness and slightly fruity taste of the Scotch Bonnet chillies goes perfectly with the pineapple in here (and the rest of the herbs and spices and of course the Spirit of Aloha 65). After doing some taste testing with chicken tenders I ended up pouring some on a plate and dunking bits of bread into it. It really is a great taste.

Downsides? It’s a little thin so appears more liquid than some other sauces, so you do need to be a bit careful when it’s on the plate… unless you want a Sun on a Beach infused carpet. Aside from that, it’s not very hot, it has a pleasant tingle but won’t blow you head off. Now this doesn’t bother me. As I said above I like flavours. And this has a great flavour. But I know some people will unfairly mark it down because they think hot sauces should be super hot. I disagree! And I’ll definitely be using this again.

As for the chilli infused pineapple chunks. These are pretty delightful – I’m a fan of pickled things and so these are right up my street. I could definitely see myself chomping through a bowl of these. Now, whilst the sauce is pretty mild these have a wee bit more of a kick to them. I probably should have read the name (or the very clear warning) on the jar before I gobbled some up. They are called Detonators for a reason… there’s definitely a bit of a kick on these especially when you’re not expecting it!

All in all I’d definitely recommend both the sauce and the Detonators.

The Babka Boys – Chocco Babka

Oh my sweet lord… You need to check out these lads. I was first drawn to them because of the frookin delish pics of their babka all over social media… My eye stomach couldn’t get enough and the climax of me ordering finally arrived.

Luckily for me there was a slot for delivery in my area the very next day so I popped my order through and sat by the door in excitement… The next day (just imagine I’d sat there for the whole time) my babka was hand delivered to me by a lovely cyclist – yay to environmentally friendly local delivery!

Catalyst Latex – What’s The Tea Dress

Hello there! Today I need need NEED to share this dress with you. Catalyst Latex are a brand I’ve worked with a few times now and their latexwear is banging so when the opportunity arose to model this dress I couldn’t resist! This post will be covering their What’s The Tea dress and my shoot with the lovely Sean O’Malley @omalleyimages on instagram.

This photoshoot was at Butler & Blake in Hackney and be assured it was done at a ‘social distance’ (god I loathe those words now, though am still sticking with the guidance despite hating the wording!). Sean is always great to shoot with and I knew he’d be able to crack out some awesome images!

I’d recently been to see Verity at The Vanity Box to treat myself to a new hair colour and the colourway of the Catalyst dress matched PERFECTLY! So, so pleased. It’s got super cute puff sleeves and bust in a cream/white and the rest is a high waist pencil/bodycon skirt in a lush navy blue. Swoooooooooooooon. The latex is quite thick and so holds you in nicely – super flattering. I don’t often wear pencil dresses and people often think latex can be unflattering but not this piece!

Catalyst are great at creating day-to-day latex clothing as well as the more lingerie, cosplay, fetish side of the outfit world and I think this dress looks so smart. All their clothing come fully chlorinated for ease of use which basically means the latex is smooth and soft – you have the option to shine it up using latex oil/latex lube (as I call it) or leave it to have a more ‘matte’ look. In my shots here I chose to shine it with Pjur Cult shiner.

This photo is one of our finished images taken and edited by Sean OMalley – I love it!

The features of this dress from the Catalyst site are below in case you’re interested, and for reference I’m 5’4″ with an approx 28″ waist and am wearing a size XS.

  • High underbust ‘skirt’
  • Mid length sleeves
  • Gentle puff sleeve
  • Back dressing zip
  • Pleated bust
  • Other colours and unchlorinated versions are available, just ask Catalyst
  • Available in sizes XS to XXL or custom sizing for a fee
  • Dress is supplied unpolished

Thanks so much to Sean for the professional photos and Catalyst for the beautiful dress. You can find the rest of the professional images from this set on my OnlyFans account which is filled with more of my modelling work, behind the scenes previews and my pinup photoshoot archive… as OnlyFans is a great platform for people/artists/businesses and isn’t just for x-rated stuff as most may think when they hear the name! Aloha 65 & London Grace #beachathomebox

Happy lockdown, guys, gals and everyone else! I’m reviewing the #beachathomebox today featuring a booze juice called Aloha 65 and a nail varnish from London Grace; I have to pop this paragraph in here as part of my agreement with Hype Experiences, the experience manager providing me with the products:

“Thank you @hype_experiences_london for arranging this media delivery. If you are a content creator, I recommend joining their community to review products! More info here https://hypeexperiences.com/about-for-reviewers

Full disclosure: this is my first experience with Hype and I paid £2 to receive and review the products! First onto the bottle of Aloha 65 which initially drew me to the listing to review…the branding is super pretty and, as a gal who enjoys a bit of retro shizzle and simple design, I was pretty much sold on this product visually straight away. I really like the look of the bottle and the website; bright, colourful and tropical! Seems like my sort of beverage! The flavours mentioned on the label are pineapple, ginger, chilli and lemon which sounds already like something I’d mix up into a drink. Lovely stuff, promising.

Crispin E1, Fallow Restaurant Team Residency (7 Jan-7 March 2020) – Spitalfields, London

Howdy partners! A quickish post from me today to recommend a place I went to this week called Crispin, which is currently having a delicious 2 month chef residency from Jack Croft & Will Murray of Fallow.  I was lured into booking a table here because both chefs previously worked together at the Heston Blumenthal restaurant Dinner…. I was treated to a birthday meal there once and it was pretty fookin’ delicious so I knew this residency would be a right treat and I wasn’t wrong.

Second Shot coffee – Bethnal Green, London

Hello there, I wanted to share a recent discovery with you… I was off to get my nails done at my usual place (Hollywood Star Nails in Bethnal Green) but today I didn’t book so had to wait for someone to be free to fix my hands up real nice. I took the opportunity to pop by to Second Shot to bide my time. I’ve bought a take out coffee from Second Shot a few times before now but hadn’t ever sat in, and I’m glad I did this time.
