Cavallo – Vienna, Austria

Guten morgen from Österreich! I’ve made it a focus to visit some new cities and with my main travel focus being eating, it’d be rude if I didn’t share some edible gems with y’all as I go.

So on the menu today we have Cavallo! A very cute and well decorated bar Cafe restaurant type place…yes, you know I’m a sucker for aesthetic restaurants.  This one in particular is ‘on it’ displaying many exposed bulbs with metal wire lampshades, a super nice colour scheme, soft looking furniture and it’s all just very aesthetically pleasing. It doesn’t stop with the furnishings and decoration either. Upon arrival we’re seated on a comfy corner bench seat and handed a menu each… The menus are magazines! Such a good idea. You pretty much get to see a photo of each dish and drink on offer and not like you would on a laminated double side menu in a cheap cafe, this has been properly done. Love it.

Holybelly – Canal Saint Martin, Paris

Bonjour from Paris! Today I am bringing you some brunch lushness, right in yo’ face!

When I booked this little trip away I specifically didn’t want to be lumped in a touristy area, so chose to look up the ‘hipster’ parts of Paris. Yes, I am a twerp. I love this stuff.  The area I picked I mainly chose because it was less than five minutes away from the best boulangerie in the city but on our walk to said boulangerie, we stumbled upon Holybelly. And holy cow…it tickled my belly. A hipster brunch paradise on a cute little Parisienne street. Who’d have thunk it?

B Factory – Naples, Italy

I love meat. This is well known about me and Naples is very full of fish and pizza but I want my meat injection – wahey – from this city too.  There are a few steak restaurants around, none are in the centre of Naples but I found one on the sea front.

Sea front restaurant about a 30min walk from the historical district. Easy to find if you walk straight down the Toledo (main shopping road, so I hear) then curve with the shoreline to the right. Or just Google maps it.

Gino Sorbillo – Naples, Italy

Gino Sorbillo is a famous pizzeria in the historic centre of Naples and as I usually plan my holidays around food I naturally had to go. When I dropped the name into Google Maps a ton of results were brought up…turns out that just to a make it nice and confusing there are quite a few Sorbillo named fooderies on the same road… yaaaay! However, don’t be fooled and make sure you head to the right one!

I did some digging and managed to find the much loved Sorbillo online, only to find out that (probably unsurprisingly) there’s usually a wait to get a seat. As seems to be the theme for my European breaks in 2017, it was raining. The one week in Naples a year when it rains, and naturally that would coincide with my visit. This plus a wait didn’t sound too joyous but I wanted a good pizza so set off with brolly in hand to get me just that.

Atomic Vintage Festival – Sywell, England

What ho! It’s 2018 and that means a whole new year of events are afoot! A highlight of 2017 for me was Atomic Vintage Festival and with 2018’s yearly dose of Atomic coming up in July, I thought you needed to know the haps and why you need to be there!

So, held on an airfield about 20 minutes north of Northampton the Atomic Vintage Festival pops up every Summer to provide a fun-filled weekend of dancing, planes, drag racing (not the RuPaul sort, well.. maybe), funfair rides, bands, shopping and more! I attended in 2016 and took part in the fashion show as well as working promo as an Atomic Bombshell, but 2017 well and truly took the biscuit.

Skinny Coffee by The Skinny Caffe

Skinny Coffee is a 30 Day Program to help weight loss with only one cup of this coffee a day, drunk 15 minutes before you have your breakfast. With a slogan of “Make Coffee, Not Excuses” I thought hey, why not? Now I’m not saying I am overweight so please no hate there, it’s just over the last 6 months my clothes seem to be smaller – very selfish of them…. so I thought if I can start wearing them comfortably again then that would be a great feeling for me. No excuses!
