Hello! Where in the world is Stefpuff Sandiego?! As you may have guessed from the title, I’m in Africa, Marrakech to be precise! Naturally in Morocco one eats a ton of tagine, but this post is about a burger joint called Beats Burger.
Who dat? Oh it’s you! I’ve needed to put a post up about this place for a while really, but procrastination is a hobby of mine so there we go and here we are. I live in Bow and regularly visit Hiland Cafe, down the road from me. It’s probably the place I go to the most for brunch actually and that’s why I need to recommend it to you all.
Gino Sorbillo is a famous pizzeria in the historic centre of Naples and as I usually plan my holidays around food I naturally had to go. When I dropped the name into Google Maps a ton of results were brought up…turns out that just to a make it nice and confusing there are quite a few Sorbillo named fooderies on the same road… yaaaay! However, don’t be fooled and make sure you head to the right one!
I did some digging and managed to find the much loved Sorbillo online, only to find out that (probably unsurprisingly) there’s usually a wait to get a seat. As seems to be the theme for my European breaks in 2017, it was raining. The one week in Naples a year when it rains, and naturally that would coincide with my visit. This plus a wait didn’t sound too joyous but I wanted a good pizza so set off with brolly in hand to get me just that.
Ciao! Today, we make-a some-a past-a with Silvana from Tutti-a-Tavola. And I promise I won’t type in that poor Italian/English stereotypical phonetic hybrid any more. Promise.
Based in West London, Silvana runs pasta making classes every week, rotating the type of pasta each month to keep you on your toes. Interesting! She covers both the glutenny and gluten-free pastas from scratch: Tuesday and Saturday evenings for the glutenny amongst us and gluten-free on Sunday lunchtime. We opted for the gluten ‘standard’ pasta, and the flavour of the month was Tricolore Garganelli! Huzzayy! Colourful pasta fun!
I’m finishing off 2017 and welcoming you to our first post for Poland! I swept in here for a little pre-Christmas break to see what was what and basically eat my way through a few Winterry days. This is when I found Stacja Pasibus and I’m ruddy glad I did. In front of the entrance to one of the Christmas markets, this place was a frookin’ gem to walk into. I did have a little fear of “WHAT IF THEY HAVE NO SEATS?!” but our accidental timing was fortunate, so we grabbed a table straight away.
A couple of years back I went on a semi ‘clean eating’ or lower carb way of eating and some of that involved swapping up standard rice for cauliflower rice. I’ll admit the low carb choice did not last long, but having cauliflower rice stuck with me a lot longer than giving up bread or potatoes…. so when I saw CauliRice as a product and interest in blogger reviews I was keen to give this product a shot.

Being a local to the area, I thought this was great – bop along every Sunday and pick up some produce but my, my I was so surprised when I visited! There is SO much more than just produce on offer. There was a band, tons of street food stands to grab lunch or brekkie while you’re there…donuts, cookies, cured meats… this market literally has it all if you’re after something edible.
Sunday morning…well, afternoon…I like a lie in, don’t judge me! Not wanting to wander too far from home, I thought it was about time that I explored some local options. In the last few months, Roman Road in Mile End/Bow has seen some great new additions – one of those is Cafe East. I’ve walked past a few times and today was the day I was to go in, after seeing some of their photos on Instagram.
Super Duper Burger is a ten location burger shoppe spread over San Francisco (6 locations), South Bay (2 locations) and North Bay (2 locations). They pride themselves on using ingredients sourced from just miles away from their restaurants to make the ‘perfect burger’ and ensure any product they use is of the highest standard – having travelled across the pond and being a burger fan, this made me curious!
Linked with the above, SDB say that their “slow food values” for fast food make for a higher cost but with a Super Burger (2x 4oz double patties) costing $7.75 I don’t think that’s half bad at all. You can customise your burger with a free selection of salad or bacon/cheese/avocado/egg for a maximum of $1.50 per item and with fries priced at a maximum of $3.25 it’s pretty reasonable.
Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it’s SOUPER….soups.
Who are the I Am Super Food company? Well they have a story here which you are more than welcome to read. Basically though, they are a group of people who wanted to bring soup away from just being an ‘older’ person’s food and bring it back to being wicked and cool and all those things.
