We saw the Little Miracles brand at the Cake and Bake Show 2016 and they certainly had gathered a constant conveyor belt of customers for their stall, so here we are trying out one of their pick up and go personal sized offerings.
For this review we tried the White Tea and Cherry drink, part of their 2016 Collection.
Well well well, what do we have here? East London based? Tick. Bikes? Tick. Food? Tick! The BakeCycle appears to be a hipster’s dream concoction so I thought it would be rude not to check these guys out and see what they’re made of.
Last week we attended the launch of Dr Oetker’s Gluten Free pizza range to sample some bits and report back on what we thought of the GF options. As a gluten-loving woman I wasn’t sure what to expect but I have an open mind and stomach.
Knowing that Coeliac disease (sensitivity to gluten) impacts 1 in 100 people in the UK brings a big reason for companies such as Dr Oetker to introduce a gluten-free option for their customers. Because everyone loves a bit of pizza, right? So why not give us all a good option?
Oh my gosh! If you hadn’t noticed, the South of England is going through a ‘heatwave’ (yes, hotter places we know you are hotter but we are the feeble English so for us 28c is a heatwave) in September. Apparently yesterday was the hottest day in September on record since 1911. Don’t say we never teach you important things here at FMPH.
Anyway, I got home after tubing and training for my commute and thought “thank the lord Jebus above I put one of my Simplee Aloe drinks in the fridge yesterday”. Honestly. I’m not even making it up for the review. And here I am drinking the thing.
Let me introduce you to the beautiful pink liquid in the picture above. This is Cuppanut’s coconut and cranberry infusion tea. Pretty pink drinks tend to be full of sugar and additives but this one is all natural and actually good for you!
Today we’re trying dried fruit snack packs from La ChiVa! – ‘Columbia’s second favourite export’
These are a healthy freeze dried fruit snack which you can eat on their own, sprinkle on your cereal or yogurt or possibly do other things I haven’t yet considered! I opted to try them on their own as ‘fruity crisps’ – and also because I had no cereal or yogurt in the cupboards.

We visited the Speciality & Fine Food Fair 2016 and stumbled upon Naturelly. These guys and gals make a jelly juice snack aimed at kids aged 2+ and made from real fruit juice and natural gelatine-free jelly with no added sugar. The point is to have something for kids to have as a snack which is good for them and a bit different – not a snack and not a drink, a delicious in-between!
This appealed to me because although I am a 20-something *cough cough* I don’t think you ever really lose the love for a bit of jelly, especially when it’s in a squeezy packet. So I gave it a crack (and the fella on the Naturelly stand was also a jelly fan so there was no shaming for me going for a snack aimed at toddlers and over).
Pate Moi? Don’t mind if I do!
Now it’s not often you’ll see a meat lover like me get excited about mushrooms. Don’t get me wrong, I like mushrooms as much as the next person – more than many in fact – but I do always pity the vegetarian whose veggie option is a giant mushroom in place of what should be a big hunk of meat.
