Timberyard – Seven Dials, London

Salutations, welcome to the Timberyard! And no, there aren’t a lot of lumberjacks here, it’s a ruddy coffee shop thing! Ho ho ho…

This place is another that I’d tried to get in once before and failed because it was too gosh darned popular! A mac user heaven, the computers nearly outnumber the people in here. It makes me envious but not because I’m not an Apple girl.

However, this time we were lucky and a couple were leaving just as we came through the door. We ordered stuff (cake and drinks) and it was brought over quickly to our newly nabbed table…. My choice was a chocolate slab similar to a brownie, a latte and a pot of tea. Delush.

The tea had a five minute timer to go with it to tell you when your coffee was brewed, which was cute. Tea ponce ahoy! It’s fun to receive little gadegets or toys with your food, hopefully these don’t end up in the pockets of cheeky customers…

Quality-wise the coffee was nice (not woooooooow but very god for an enjoyable slurp) and everything was presented well on a nice little board 1441570828197– trendy hipster-tastic. Places these days feel the need to present food and drink on planks of wood…I’m far from complaining but it’s probably rarer now to experience a place without one. The chocolate slab ‘brownie’ I treated myself to was very rich and dark chocolatey. Worth the money…three pounds and something I believe but you aren’t going to get dry rubbish for that price at Timberyard.

Decor – cool ‘odds and sods’ chairs ranging from cosy to wooden and a great overall atmosphere. I could easily stay here all day chatting and plan to bring a few friends here in future to do just that.

They’ve got tons more cakes to try next time and believe me…I’ll be back.
Moowahaha.
